Koudy Fagbemi, born March 23, 1987, is a
Beninese-born singer/songwriter. She is tagged Princesse des rives Oueme

or her diverse musical influences and creative dance steps.
KOUDY as she is fondly called on stage, speaks in Bariba, Fon, French,
Yorùbá and English and has demonstrated her musical dexterity in the use
of all of these languages in all her songs.
She is on the chart as
one of the favourite and energetic Francophone-African musicians, and is
always at the forefront of promoting African culture through music.
She has performed in A-list shows in Republic of Benin and other West
Africa countries including Nigeria, Niger, Togo, Chad to mention but a
few.
She is a stage diva noted for her energetic Goumbe dance. She
also performs Akonhoun and Atcha dances so well whenever she is on
stage. Her musical genre includes the contemporary Africa songs,
Beninese traditional songs, zouk, Congolese rumba and African jazz.
As one of the most powerful music artistes in Benin Republic, no show is
complete without Koudy’s performance. She has recorded so many songs
with both local and international artistes including Tunde Joseph(Nig)
and Nilar Gobe(Benin Republic).
She recently released her album
KOUDY SURU, which she also co-produced. The 10 tracker album includes
‘Ago’, ‘ovitche Omonmi’, ‘Zeyilo’, ‘Hwendo Mandonanabou’, ‘Iya M,
Wabamilo’, ‘Helou Gbeto’, ‘Obimi’, ‘Ogun’ and ‘Jogbese’.
She is a
regular artiste at the African Integration Festival produced by Pan
Africanist, Bonny Botoku, SICA Africa Music Festival , Independent
Africa Fashion Expo to mention but a few.
She lives in Port Novo, Republic of Benin and has received so many local and international
awards for her roles in the promotion of African culture and arts.
