Green Legacy Resort, up the ante of leisure in Ogun state

According to Mr. Louis Achibong, OOPL Business Development Manager, the resort captures the essence of nature, culture and tradition with almost 100 percent local materials for its construction. He said, ‘‘As the first Presidential Library in the whole of Africa, the idea of the local content used in designing of the furniture, is to preserve the present, capture the future and promote learning and tourism. Obasanjo is a typical cultural man, whose legacy is what we are preserving. The resort is a venture established to fund the presidential library with staff strength of about hundred staff.’’

The resort offers complete leisure with the Bamboo grove bar that can sit over 200 guests, there are mouth watery Suya, Barbeque and Asun with chilled drinks all available at cheaper rates for guests.   The resort also offers quality sporting events for guests from the tastefully furnished Gym (with facilities including treadmill and multi-stations) Taekwondo centre, volley ball court and two swimming pools- for adults and children. There are also a capacity multipurpose hall and conference centres for all manner of occasions.
The unique features of the resorts is that all the furniture around the landscape including the beddings and furniture, window frames and doors, glass sand for cotton walls, the vitrified tiles and ceramic tiles are built with 100 per cent local content based on the directive of the former president. The resorts also serve intercontinental foods and drinks all at affordable rates.
But apart from the ingenuity of local skills and products on display, one of the interesting features of the resort is the zoo contains a number of rare and exotic animal species including  hyena, monkeys, donkeys, wolves, alligators and ostriches. Also strategically located close to the zoo is the Rock of Inspiration with a charming top which offers scenic beauty of the surrounding communities.  There is also an amusement park specially built for children, it contains a roller coaster, bouncing castle and other exciting fun facilities.
